The Life of a Kindergarten Teacher

I will admit...I have it made when it comes to work. I LOVE my job! I love seeing 16 sweet smiling faces each morning and I love all the hugs. These kids are just amazing. We have had a very exciting time over the past several months. We have celebrated Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Space Invaders Day, the 50th day of school, the 100th day of school and most recently Groundhog day. I don't know of any other profession where you celebrate so much and have so much fun doing it! Below are a few shots from our year in Kindergarten so far.

New Chapter

I have been a little preoccupied lately getting ready to go back to school...yes school. I am now in graduate school at the University of West Alabama and so far I am enjoying it. I am working towards my Masters degree in School Counseling and taking each course online. This is new to me as when I did my undergrad I only took one course online. I am looking forward to each class and to learning about becoming a school counselor...my goal.
Hope that January has treated you all well so far.

Christmas Holiday

This Christmas is a very special Christmas for Barry and I. For one, we are in our new home and are able to host Christmas gatherings at our home. And second, we miscarried our first pregnancy 2 weeks ago so we are not only celebrating the birth of our Savior but also our baby in heaven. The pictures below we took on the day we told my family that we were expecting. Hopefully and prayerfully one day we will be able to welcome a little one into the world.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas!!

I just wanted to share a post of our Christmas decorations at our new house and a few family photos from Thanksgiving.

Our Christmas Tree

This ornament belonged to my Nonie and Grandpa Dave. They used to
put up a 12 foot tree and this bird adorned their tree. It is a nice
addition to our tree.

We love having a mantle!

Santa's Belly (Scentsy)

This wreath belonged to my Nonie. Now that I have a large place to hang it,
she gave it to me. Thanks Nonie!

Fall 2011

The past few weeks have been crazy around our house. Between the fun days at Arab Primary and busy nights with Relay meetings, church and painting we haven't had much free time. I had a few spare minutes on Halloween to snap a few pictures of the dogs and our beautiful trees that line the driveway. Happy Fall Y'all!
